I have played millions of rounds of chemin de fer. I started working my way into the casinos when I was still underage. I have gambled on online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. Given all that I have still spent an abundance of bankroll at twenty-one. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the game.

I still enjoy the game and gamble on a regular basis. Over this time period I have played a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You definitely will not get rich with this method or defeat the house, however you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is founded on the idea that vingt-et-un appears to be a game of runs. When you’re hot your hot, and when you’re not you’re NOT!

I gamble with basic strategy blackjack. When I do not win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand. If I lose again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand again etc. Whenever I hit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I lower the action back down to the original value.

I am very strict and never back out. It gets extremely enjoyable sometimes. If you win a few hands in series your wagers go up very quickly. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic runs a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a number of years ago with $750 after 30 mins using this tactic! And a few months ago in Atlantic City I left a game with $1200!

You have to understand that you can relinquish a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be amazed at the runs you see betting this way. Here is a guide of what you would wager if you kept winning at a five dollar table.

Take $5 paid to you, leave the original $5 wager

Bet 5 dollar
Leave five dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of ten dollar

Wager ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the first $10 wager

Wager 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $20

Bet 20 dollar
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the original $20 bet

Bet $20
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of forty dollar

Wager $40
Take $40 paid to you, leave the original $40 wager

Bet forty dollar
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total wager of eighty dollar

Bet 80 dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the first eighty dollar bet

Bet 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total wager of $160

Bet 160 dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid to you, leave the initial 160 dollar bet

If you departed at this moment you would be up $315 !!

It is herculean to go on a streak this long, but it does happen. And when it does you can NOT deviate and drop your bet or the final result will not be the same.
